Christfulness at Tao Fong Shan – Spring 2020

Posted on 15. January 2020 by cfn

Christfulness is spirituality, worldview, and an understanding of human nature. It comprises different traditions from throughout the rich traditions of both the Eastern and the Western churches. The aim of Christfulness is to grow up to the fulness of Christ.

At Tao Fong Shan you’ll have the chance to taste on Christfulness, however our Sunday drop-in sessions and retreats that has been announced for this spring are cancelled due to Ole Skjerbæk Madsen’s operation of the coronary artery. We hope to resume these sessions and retreats in the autumn 2020.

This does not mean that you can’t practice Christfulness. Use the beautiful nature and premises of TFS. Come up to the mountain to regain tranqulity and enjoy the presence of Christ and his Spirit.

Look at the website of Tao Fong Shan Christian Centre and look for some of the other offers for retreats, or book a room at Pilgrims’ Hall and have a personal retreat for some days.

You may want to go to the TFS Cross and look over Shatin. And pray the Jesus-prayer at the cross as a prayer for the City, cf. http://christfulness.net/the-jesus-prayer-as-prayer-for-others/#.XlAFwmhKjIU

This is not the least important in this difficult time, as the director of TFSCC, Dr. Tong Wing-sze writes, “During this year, we have experienced countless social events and the spread of novel epidemics. Everyone in Hong Kong lives in a mood of anxiety, fear and hopelessness. It is not only about the emotional need of us, but also the collective emotional outburst of Hong Kong society. We all look forward to changing and renewing the social roots of various negative emotions. At the same time, we must guard our mental health and strengthen our spiritual resilience. In view of the situation, Tao Fong Shan Christian Centre is actively preparing a series of “Tao Fong Shan Spiritual Resource Online” with the spiritual practices from the Ole’s book “Christfulness” (Chinese version). We hope to experience the fullness of Christ in our invisible fear and creating an individual and collective inner strength for all of us and our city.”

The Episode 1 is published in TFSCC YouTube channel.  It’s the Basic Meditation from Christfulness Chinese version p.22.  Here is the link for your reference:
